Slipping away from the passivity of the tunnel, I walked towards the light. As the damp blur of jarring rocks cut off, the radiance of the sun, through the clouds and the canopies, hit me with all its bloom. And there she was, a grey whale. It swam through the rain clouds and soared with wings that eclipsed the sky. I reached for it, and through the white pockets, it dived in for me, singing and calling. An orbit of exuberance ascended as the whale, the critters, and the jungle jolled with me.
